At A Glance
At a first glance, Cara is a very short Miqo'te with messy hair. And a luxuriously long leopard's tail. Her face marred with scars and her beautiful aqua blue eyes remind those of the ceruleum filled ice upon the Eblan Rime. Upon a closer look depending on her attire for the day. You'll see her body, carved and littered with deep, jagged scars. A sign of a battle-hardened huntress.Her body is adorned with tribal markings, and tattoos depicting the lunar phases, giving a hint at who she has her fealty for. And what faith she belongs to.Cara often has a thick scent of honey, cream and bread for the fact she bakes every single day.
Who Is She?
Most of Cara's past are buried in burnt documents, fabricated truths, and shadowy secrets. Whatever you wish to find on this woman is probably buried under a mountain of bodies. But what is known of Cara is that she was born to a Keeper of the Moon tribe from the farthest north reaches of Ilsabard before being abandoned in Corvos, a nation under brutal Garlean occupation. She was born with a growth hormone deficiency, stunting her size and her strength. And because of this, her parents abandoned her as a babe to a church. The rest? Well she would pop up here and there. From a small sect of Keepers of the Moon out in Ilsabard. To the ceruleum mines of Garlemald. To becoming a conscript of the Imperial Army. Whatever happened in those gaps? Only Cara knows.
Personality
Folk would describe Cara loyal, kind, caring, affectionate and selfless. Although, on the other side of the line, she is eccentric, and sometimes can be mean with her words. Some commonly refer to her as snarky, sarcastic, and incredibly lax. But, her willingness to put her life on the line for strangers has always been her modus operandi, always putting others first before herself. Though, her hatred of Garleans is quite blatant, and quite frankly, racist. Some of her remarks towards Garleans can be very...spicy.Cara is a notorious foodie and gourmand. Often found in her dens, whipping up cuisines from all over the world. She wishes to study more to becoming a culinarian, but only to further her hobby. Most of the ingredients in her dishes are hunted, foraged, fished, dived, dried, pickled, or grown by herself. Rarely does she go out to buy ingredients unless it's exotic. Her love of food extends to others. She will often make boxed lunches for people. Making sure they are fed with wonderful food her own cooking. Even so far as reluctantly feeding Garleans who have fled to Eorzea. Although, still with the same malice she feels towards them. Do not fret, for she is well above poisoning her food.Cara despite her small size, has a huge personality. Her loud, crass mouth and thick accent, can often be picked out in a room of many people. The Miqo'te is quite the people person, always making sure everyone has a good time. If you are male Keeper of the Moon. Do be prepared to be showered in flirtatious advances.Cara also has many quirks. Her ardent devotion to Menphina, often gives her a unique world view on life. The woman can be seen often humming pagan folk songs, or scribbling (albeit poorly written), poems.
Cara Today
Affectionately dubbed 'Miss Cara', the Keeper of the Moon has found her place in society, walking a path between the tribal old ways and the modernity of the city. She works at her the brewery owned by a dear old friend of hers as it's brewer and cook. She is often found making pastries, cakes and sweets. As food is her passion and cooking her canvas. When she is not found at Spellbound Spirits Brewing Company, she can be found at either the Quicksands Inn or Buscarron Druthers regaling people of tales of her journey, or offering her fresh baked goods that she had made the morning off. Her honey glazed milk bread and cookies are to die for.If you ask about her eight children she will absolutely gush about them for hours on end. And mayhaps give you a glimpse behind the veil of the mysterious Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te.And when she has need of extra coin to feed those hungry mouths, she will pick up low level bounties to supplement her coffers.
RP Hooks
-There lies a recent legend amongst the soldiers of Garlemald. It tells the story of a Shadow who turned on their oppressors. An assassin once chained to the Garlean war machine, who now was freed from their shackles. They would turn their ravenous fury upon those who had wronged them, slaughtering Garleans by the dozen. Officers and their squadrons, seemingly wiped out on gory, bloody fashion. The bloodcurdling laughter, that is what the survivors of these massacres would say. An apex predator, unleashed no longer upon the Alliance. but its former masters. This beast had a taste for Garlean blood and where ever it walked, it would gorge upon a sea of souls, it's scythe feasting upon the flesh of the unfortunate who walked before it's warpath. Cara has had a long, long history with Garleans. Perhaps of mention of this war story, she could shed light upon the blood-soaked tale, perhaps even a macabre ballad of life and death. And if you hail from Ilsabard, perhaps you have heard of this legend?
-Thirsty? Need a drink? Cara runs a brewery out in Limsa Lominsa. Spellbound Spirits Brewing Co. All liquors and ales are brewed in house, her specialty being moonshine. But, it would be remiss of you, to refuse a bite of her cooking as well, if she were to offer it you.-Cara is an avid huntress. And when she is not caring for her little rugrats, she enjoys a long hunt out in the Shroud or Thanalan. Invite her out sometime, she me even regale you about the time she caught a Garlean, with a fishing rod.-Her poorly written notes plaster upon her desk amongst empty wine bottles and old gear. They give insight into cultures, languages and other means of understanding the people of this star, past and present. Cara has always had an eye out for culture and history, especially when retaining the stories of Miqo'te, her insatiable hunger to know drives her to seek out her fellow sistren. Whether it be Keepers of the Moon. Or Seekers of the Sun. To understand how the Miqo'te came to be. If you are an Miqo'te or historian that has knowledge they would like to share of said culture. Cara is willing to shell out coin for a sliver of knowledge, or swap tales of eld over pours of Spellbound Spirit's house wine.-Do you hail from Corvos? Perhaps you have a good eye for swordsmanship. If you ever get a chance to witness Cara in battle, or on the rare occasion a duel. Those who are amongst the Corvosi would recognize her blademanship, as they have Corvosi roots in all her flamboyant, yet lethal style. Mayhaps she will teach you a trick or two?
